Southend Symphony Orchestra - Saint-Saëns, Haydn and Walton

Doors open 6:30pm for an optional pre-concert talk from 6:45pm. Music starts 7:30pm.

Southend Symphony Orchestra performs:
- Saint-Saëns: Symphony No. 3 (The Organ Symphony) with organist Roderick Elms
- Haydn: Cello Concerto in C with soloist John Chillingworth
- Walton: Crown Imperial

The Old Southendian Organ Society is delighted to welcome Southend Symphony Orchestra to perform a programme of Haydn, Walton, and the famous Saint-Saëns Symphony No. 3 (The Organ Symphony), to be played with acclaimed organist Roderick Elms on the magnificent Memorial Organ at Southend High School for Boys. The Haydn Cello Concerto will feature John Chillingworth (former Principal Cellist at the English National Opera, and organist, pianist, teacher, conductor and arranger).

Parking will be available on site. Programmes and refreshments will be available. Please contact us with any queries.
